Agenda
Meeting on Synthetic Aperture Radar
The next SAR focus group meeting of the Electromagnetic Systems Interest Group will take place on 16th December 2019 at the University of Birmingham. The meeting will start at 10:30hrs and end at 16:30hrs. An agenda can be found below.
Synthetic Aperture Radar has become essential for remote sensing across both military and civilian applications. Advances in platform, sensor and processing technologies are leading a revolution in the use of SAR. Across the UK, experts are working in government, industry and academia to develop and exploit SAR data. Cross linkages between these groups and opportunities to share our aims, innovations, problems and solutions are rare.
In 2018 the EMSIG ran a one day networking event for the SAR community. This event was a great success, initiating contacts and connections among colleagues from disparate fields.
Please note, there has been insufficient interest in a classified day. We will look to arrange this as a stand-alone event next year.
For those of you who are not familiar with the University, there is a multi-storey car park next to the Engineering Building and other car parks around the campus. The University railway station is one stop from New Street station and is a short walk across the campus from the engineering building. Both of these are shown on the map.
Please go to the reception in the building and we will pick you up from there and lead you to the meeting room.
